Greenwood's are determined more than ever to provide the same services as previous years but in 2024 we have even more for you the starting this spring. I Mr S Wood founder of Greenwood's Garden Maintenance and Greenwood's Harrogate LTD (formerly Greenwood's Lawnmower Repairs ) dedicate this year to you. Building  better customer focus, giving more back to the community and offering a wider range of services. Hop on board, let's take this journey together for another year.
Greenwood's was first born in 2005 under the name of Greenwood's Garden maintenance in Lancashire by a Yorkshire man Mr S Wood. The company battled on for several years against competition, 2005 was the era of new gardening company's popping up with high tech machinery knocking off the single man bands from the market. Greenwood's ceased because of this in late 2008.
The founder of Greenwood's Lawnmower Repairs Harrogate ( again Mr S Wood ) started his fascination with engines back in 1990 when he was 15 yo ( 32 years ago ) with 1950s stationary engines and acquired a Petter A2 along with his best friend whom got a Lister D. These engines were repaired and restored and the two friends took them to steam engine rally's.
Mr wood and friend Mr Gibbs then began ( like Mr Gibbs father ) repairing and showing Lawnmowers at various shows followed on closely by cycle motors, motorcycles, classic cars and then 1980s cars. 1992 saw Mr wood attend college and study Motor vehicle Engineering. To this day Mr Wood's fascination and skills with engines and the body in which surrounds them still lives now in Greenwood's Harrogate LTD Things have advanced throughout Greenwood's and around 5 years ago was renamed Greenwood's Garden Machinery Repairs, accomodating all machines that are used in Garden maintence. See SERVICES below for all that we now offer our customers new and old. Another year down the line in 2024 I replaced the workshop for a bigger one and engaged in buying more advanced technology. I might be a solo trader but planning ahead has kept me in the picture. I am still here as big companys and shops shut down. MY MOTTO IS, NOT ABOUT THE MONEY but building friendships.
